Marrakech – National flags across Morocco have been lowered to half-mast, as part of the national mourning period after 2,122 lives were lost and 2,421 were injured in the catastrophe.
The quake, registering a magnitude of 7 on the Richter scale, has resulted in a staggering loss of life and widespread destruction, particularly in the provinces of Al Haouz and Taroudant.
