Rabat – Prince Moulay Rachid, King Mohammed VI’s brother, attended today the funeral of the late Aicha El Khattabi, daughter of the late Mohamed Ben Abdelkrim El Khattabi.
The deceased was buried in the Errahma cemetery in Casablanca on Thursday, after the Dhuhr and funeral prayers. The funeral was attended by family members and relatives of El Khattabi, as well as by several personalities.
The late Aicha El Khattabi passed away in Casablanca on Wednesday, aged 81, after a long battle with illness.
Born in 1942, she lived and studied in Egypt, before returning to Morocco after the death of her father, a Moroccan nationalist leader who led the fight against Spanish and French occupation in the 20th century.
The deceased was an advisor to the Mohamed Abdelkrim El Khattabi Foundation. She held a bachelor’s degree from the American College for Girls in Cairo.
