Rabat – Lycee Descartes in Rabat, the school affiliated with the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), has fired a teacher who has been accused of inappropriate sexual conduct with a 14-year-old student.
The scandal centers around an as-yet-unnamed teacher at Lycée Descartes, who stands accused of engaging in sexual conduct with a 14-year-old student, according to converging reports.
The allegations suggest that the teacher had established a pattern of illicit sexual abuse with the teenage student.
A statement issued by the school’s principal François Cuilhe said, “We unequivocally condemn the actions of the teacher involved in this incident.”
“As of today, this teacher, a staff member under local law, is no longer part of the establishment’s staff and the Administration is in close contact with the family,” the statement added..”
Individuals familiar with the case maintain that the allegations go beyond mere electronic communications and encompass allegations of sexual misconduct with the minor.
While the teacher’s identity has not been officially disclosed, they are believed to be a French-Algerian national.
