Rabat – Morocco’s flag carrier Royal Air Maroc (RAM) reiterated its commitment towards its new vision, seeking to boost the company’s network – particularly through fleet expansion.
Royal Air Maroc CEO Abdelhamid Addou reiterated the company’s commitment in a presentation to RAM’s partners in Casablanca on Monday.
The event mainly focused on Royal Air Maroc’s agreement with the government signed in July, which aims to boost the number of RAM’s aircraft over the next 15 years.
According to a statement from the airline, Royal Air Maroc uncovered details of its new development project, aiming to expand its fleet and international network as well as rapidly developing direct air routes.
Quoted by state media outlet SNRTNews, the statement further explained that the airline also renewed its commitment and intention to develop itself as a “comprehensive and global carrier.”
During the meeting, Addou also presented the company’s new institutional signatures under hashtags #DimaAfrica and #MeetMorocco.
Royal Air Maroc said that the new institutional signatures are part of enhancing the airline’s achievements, stressing that this will contribute to consolidating its position as a leading company in Africa.
Royal Air Maroc also aspires to see the new campaign enable it to reiterate its confidence in Africa’s potential as well as its commitment to Morocco as a strategic ally for national sectoral plans.
In July, the airline signed a contract with the Moroccan government aiming to boost the number of its aircraft from 50 to 200 over the next 15 years.
The project is part of a 2023-2032 program, which also aims to position Morocco among the world’s major tourist destinations.
Morocco’s ambition is to attract 65 million tourists by 2037. Under the contract, Royal Air Maroc also aims to boost its domestic flights by setting up 46 new services.
