Rabat – The Palestinian Authority condemned the lack of a “political horizon” seeking to put an end to the ongoing Israeli aggression targeting civilians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

The spokesperson of the Palestinian presidency Nabil Abu Rudeineh conveyed the concern of the Palestinian Authority today, condemning Israel’s relentless aggression and incursions in the occupied West Bank and Gaza.

“The main reason for what is happening is the absence of a political horizon and failure to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy and the Palestinian Arab legitimacy, which was the reason for the big explosion we see today,” Abu Rudeineh said.

Abu Rudeineh stressed that Israeli acts caused the deterioration of the situation, stressing that the Palestinian Authority has repeatedly warned of Israeli provocations in Jerusalem as well as colonial incursions into the Al Aqsa Mosque.

Abu Rudieneh also condemned the absence of the US in pressuring Israel to “bind it to the agreements, international legitimacy, and international law.”

The Palestinian official concluded his remarks by stressing that finding a political horizon is the only solution to “prevent an explosion in the entire region.”

Israeli massacres and illegal settlements continue amid the international community’s failure to hold Israel responsible.

The UN has also failed to adopt a resolution to ensure a ceasefire in the region.

Converging reports said that the Palestinian death toll reached at least 4,700. The number is believed to be set to increase as Israeli aggression intensified last night, killing and wounding hundreds of people in the Gaza Strip.

Over 14,000 people have been injured so far during the attacks.
