Rabat – Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip and the West Bank has caused the death of 508 Palestinians since Saturday.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed the news today, stressing that the aggressions also caused injuries among 2,800 people.
The death toll includes 493 people who were killed in air strikes in the Gaza Strip, with 2,751 wounded. The number includes 91 children and 61 women.
The death toll in the West Bank governorates reached 15, including two minors.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA said that Israeli warplanes launched hundreds of violent raids against the Gaza Strip, targeting civilians and service facilities as well as mosques, and residential towers and buildings.
The attacks resulted in the death of hundreds of Palestinians, most of whom were women, children, and elderly.
The situation has been causing concerns among the international community, which has been asking for calm and an immediate end to violence targeting civilians.
The UN Security Council met behind closed doors in an emergency session. The UN Security Council, however, failed to achieve the “unanimity needed for a joint statement,” Al Jazeera reported.
The clashes between Israeli troops and the resistance movement of Hamas resulted in the death of at least 1,000 people on both sides, since Saturday.
Israel has been renewing its determination to continue its war, killing hundreds of people.
The US showed support for Israel’s aggression targeting civilians in Gaza. On Sunday, US President Joe Biden announced additional support for Israel amid ongoing aggressions targeting civilians in Gaza.
Biden announced his support for Israel in a new phone with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday.
The White House said in a statement that the US President “conveyed that additional assistance for the Israeli Defense Forces is now on its way to Israel with more to follow over the coming days.”
