Rabat – The Arab Center for Research & Policy Studies has issued a report assessing “the Storm Al-Aqsa” operation launched by the resistance movement of Hamas against Israel on October 7.

The Center’s assessment, which was shared with Morocco World News today, emphasized that the operation was in response to repeated attacks by the right-wing Israeli government – including the unlawful seizure and annexation of Palestinian territories as well as the frequent, provocative raids on the Al Aqsa Mosque.

According to the center, the Hamas operation holds a “significant strategic importance” as it exposes Israeli intelligence failures  – in particular in predicting the operation carried out by the armed wing of Hamas.

The institute concluded its reading of the Hamas attack by emphasizing that the operation shattered Israel’s “security myth.” In particular, the report stressed, the attack exposed “the vulnerability of the fortifications and walls it built to protect and isolate itself.”

The center emphasized that Israeli’s aggression towards Palestinians will “not subdue the Palestinian people in Gaza or elsewhere. Their will remains unbroken, and they will continue to struggle for their freedom from occupation.”

Gaza has been blockaded and relentlessly shelled by Israeli forces since last Saturday, with the number of Palestinians killed to date exceeding 1,200.

Despite warnings from the humanitarian organizations, Israel continues to vow to carry out more violent and relentless attacks against the Palestinians.
On Wednesday, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced the formation of an emergency wartime government including experienced officials such as former Defense Minister Benny Gantz.

Netanyahu, Gantz, and current Defense Minister Yoav Gallant have pledged the formation of a war cabinet to “wipe this thing called Hamas off the face of the earth.”

The Israeli government received unwavering support from the US, whose State Secretary Antonio Blinken arrived in the country on a Middle East Tour.

During the visit, Blinken renewed unwavering US support for Israel, urging for international condemnation for Hamas.

“You may be strong enough on your own to defend yourself… But as long as America exists, you will never, ever have to. We will always be there by your side,” Blinken said.
