Israeli airstrikes are leaving no place safe in Gaza as they continue shelling hospitals as well as residential areas and schools.
Al Jazeera reported today that the Nasser Medical Complex suffered indirect and direct hits from Israeli missiles.
During the attack targeting the complex, which is home to four hospitals, Israeli occupation forces killed at least eight people while dozens were injured.
The complex’s health facilities include the Al-Nasser Children’s Hospital.
“The [Israeli] army called some of our staff that night and said they will create a fire belt around the hospital,” Suleiman Qaoud, a doctor at the Rantisi Hospital said.
The Rantisi Hospital is part of the medical complex targeted by Israel.
Israeli occupation forces have been targeting hospitals, places of worship, schools, and shelters since October 7.
The massacres come amid inaction from the international community as appeals for a ceasefire agreement have failed, largely due to the support it receives from influential powers including the US.
US Secretary General Antony Blinken reiterated the White House’s rejection of a ceasefire during his Middle East visit last week, claiming that Israel has the right for “self defense.”
The claims of self-defense come amid Israeli massacres and genocidal crime targeting unarmed civilians across Gaza while intensifying raid campaigns targeting activists.
To date, Israel killed at least 10,000 Palestinians including more than 4,100 children, while tens of thousands others have been injured.
