Rabat – The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced today the launch of online ticket sales for the African Cup of Nations (CAN 2023) to be held in Cote d’Ivoire in 2024, “to attract football fans across the continent and beyond for the showpiece African football event.”
The first phase of online ticketing will be reserved exclusively for VISA payment card holders on November 11, CAF’s statement added, noting that tickets can be purchased at http://tickets.cafonline.com/AFCON.
The rest of the public sales will be launched on the platform two days later, on Monday November 13.
This first-of-its-kind African Cup of Nations project is designed to allow fans to purchase tickets well in advance of this year’s tournament, which takes place from January 13 to February 11 next year, in the Ivorian cities of Abidjan, Bouake, Korhogo, San Pedro, and Yamoussoukro.

According to the CAF press release, a specialized, fully functional, and user-friendly platform has been built on CAF’s website to ensure a pleasant and transparent experience for interested parties following the successful debut of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
“CAF was committed to facilitating access for thousands of soccer fans who will travel to Côte d’Ivoire to attend the event next year and to ensuring that Ivorians have easy access to the competition,” said Veron Mosengo-Omba, the General Secretary of African football’s governing body.
“Online ticketing will enhance the experience of African soccer fans and the general public,” Mosengo-Omba went on to say, stressing that the “stakeholder support has been important and we look forward to meeting the growing demands of fans and the general public.”
