Rabat – Morocco’s National Company of Radio and Television (SNRT) has announced that it obtained the rights to broadcast the Atlas Lions’ matches for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

“The Moroccan audience, from various parts of the world, can watch the national football team’s matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers through satellite broadcasts on the channels of the National Radio and Television Company (SNRT),” said the SNRT last night.

The tournament’s African qualifiers draw has put Morocco in Group E, alongside Zambia, Congo, Tanzania, Niger, and Eritrea.

In their opening game, the Atlas Lions will face Tanzania on November 21 in Dar Es Salaam.

The team will then lock horns with Zambia between June 3 and 11, 2024. The squad will then play against Congo during the same period.

In addition, Morocco will face Niger and Tanzania between March 17 and 25, 2025.

In the period between September 1 and 9, 2025, the Atlas Lions will take on Niger and Zambia, before playing against Congo in October.

The upcoming 2026 World Cup will take place in Canada, the United States, and Mexico between June 11 and July 19, 2026.

This edition of the global tournament will see an expanded format, featuring a total of 48 teams instead of 32. It will thus include 104 matches instead of the typical 64 games.

The tournament will consist of 12 groups of four teams each.

Morocco will jointly host the following World Cup in 2030 alongside Spain and Portugal, with Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina hosting one match each to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the tournament.
