Rabat – Moroccan influencer and vlogger Saber Chawni received recognition from Siändo Fofana, the Minister of Tourism and Entertainment in Cote d’Ivoire, at the ministry’s headquarters today.

The Moroccan vlogger was recognized for his contributions to fostering cultural exchange and promoting unity between Morocco and Cote d’Ivoire amid the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

Chawni commented on Facebook writing, “I dedicate this recognition to my country, all content creators, and the visitors of Cote d’Ivoire who expressed their brotherhood and solidarity during this great football event that brought together African nations.”

Saber, along with many other Moroccan influencers, traveled to Cote d’Ivoire to not only support the Atlas Lions in the football tournament but also to explore the rich culture and traditions of the host country.

The influencers engage in a cultural exchange where they share aspects of Moroccan heritage while immersing themselves in the Ivorian way of life.

Throughout his visit, Chawni documented his experiences on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, where he shared a series of lively videos showcasing his adventures in Cote d’Ivoire.

From discovering local cuisine to partaking in traditional dances and interacting with enthusiastic locals, Chawni embraced the Ivorian culture with genuine enthusiasm.

He also seized the opportunity to introduce Moroccan culture to the Ivorian community, including Moroccan sweets, traditional attire, music, and dances.

Chawni’s videos garnered millions of views with Moroccans and Ivorians alike admiring the love and unity that his content has contributed to.

During Morocco’s opening AFCON game last week, Chawni was keen on promoting another component of Moroccan culture, the Kaftan.

He shared a video featuring 10 models from Cote d’Ivoire elegantly wearing the Moroccan dresses. He said that his videos aim to showcase the beauty of the country’s traditional style.
