Rabat – The General Authority for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques in Saudi Arabia has integrated artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technology to enhance the dissemination of guidance and counseling content for visitors and pilgrims at the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
The initiative seeks to provide tailored and relevant information to worshippers, with the aim of a seamless and informed experience during their visit.
A total of 52 screens, spanning 279 square meters, have been placed inside and outside the mosque to offer personalized guidance content for pilgrims.
This approach utilizes the expertise of a specialized team, comprising scholars well-versed in religious and guidance aspects. The team curates bespoke content for specific occasions, ensuring the information is timely and relevant for the needs of visitors.
To cater to the diverse linguistic backgrounds of visitors and ensure that guidance reaches a broader audience, the authority has formed a dedicated team responsible for translating the curated content into multiple languages.
Operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week, these screens are positioned at key locations, including entrances, exits, courtyards, and roads leading to the Grand Mosque.
