Rabat – Young Moroccan Football player Oussama El Asri has died in a tragic car accident in Palau-Saverdera, in Catalonia, Spain.
The Moroccan footballer, who plays for Spanish club CF Base Roses, died along with his friend, David Castilla, a player for the CF Peralada team.
“We start the year in the worst possible way, mourning the loss of our youth player Oussama El Asri in a traffic accident on the evening of the 31st, along with Sergio and David Castilla,” Spanish club CF Base Roses wrote on Monday.
The club also extended their support and sympathy with the families and friends of the victims of the fatal car accident.
El Asri, lived in Roses, while David Castilla and his father, who was apparently driving the car, lived in Vilajuiga.
No further details have been provided about the tragic accident.
