Marrakech – In Canada, Ramadan is expected to begin this year on March 11, according to Islamic Relief Canada website.

In nations such as the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the UK, the US, Turkey, and the Maldives, it is anticipated that Ramadan will commence on March 11th.

It’s not a national holiday or a commemoration of a historic event, but rather the beginning of a deeply cherished tradition that holds immense cultural and spiritual importance.

According to the New Canadian Media website, Islam has become the second most practiced religion in Canada.

As per a report titled “The Future of The Global Muslim Population,” projections indicate that by 2030, Canada will be home to approximately 2.7 million Muslims, constituting around 6.6 percent of the population.

The World Population Review website reports that Muslims account for 4.54% of the country’s population, totaling around 1.8 million individuals.

As outlined on the Canadavisa.com website, senior political and business figures mark Ramadan by releasing statements and participating in or hosting iftar gatherings to break the fast.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also issues a special statement recognizing Ramadan and the contributions of Islamic Canadians.

As the days leading up to March 11 pass by, preparations are underway in communities across the country.

In Canada, where diversity is celebrated as a cornerstone of national identity, Ramadan holds particular significance.

It is a time when Muslim Canadians come together with friends, family, and communities to observe the rituals and traditions that have been passed down through generations.
