Rabat – OCP Africa, a subsidiary of Moroccan phosphate giant OCP Group, has announced the forthcoming opening of the Digital Farming School (DFS) in Yamoussoukro.
The school, which is set to be inaugurated in September 2024, represents a groundbreaking initiative aimed at revolutionizing agricultural education in the region, said OCP Africa in a statement on X, formerly Twitter.
The school is being developed through a collaborative effort involving Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), Institut National Polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny
(TINP-HB), and Leet Initiative. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to foster innovation in agricultural education.
The statement said that the construction of the DFS is progressing well, as confirmed by a recent site visit from Mohamed Anouar Jamali, CEO of OCP Africa.
Jamali’s visit was part of a broader inspection of the school’s development to ensure it meets the highest international standards. He was joined by Diaby Moussa A.Kader, Director General of INP-HB, one of the key partners in this project.

The DFS promises to offer students a state-of-the-art learning environment, equipped with the latest technology to support their professional growth and skills development.
OCP Africa further noted that the educational program at DFS is designed to be innovative and comprehensive, with a strong emphasis on Agri-Tech. The curriculum aims to harness and enhance the potential of young Ivorians, as well as prepare them to become leaders in the agricultural technology sector.
According to the statement, both Jamali and Kader closely examined the program’s design to ensure it aligns with this vision. Additionally, the initiative aligns with OCP Africa’s broader mission across the continent, which focuses on enhancing agricultural productivity, supporting farmers, and tackling food security challenges.

By providing access to quality fertilizers, promoting sustainable farming practices, and investing in educational and training programs, OCP Africa plays a key role in driving agricultural development and ensuring food security throughout Africa.
In addition, DFS will be UM6P’s second school established outside Morocco, following the successful launch of their first international campus in Paris.
