Rabat – The countdown has commenced for GITEX Africa 2024, the continent’s premier tech and startup event, scheduled to take place from May 29 to 31, 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco.

This year’s edition marks a significant milestone in the ongoing evolution and enrichment of African tech, offering a pivotal opportunity to forge fresh connections across borders and engage with pioneering startups driving technological progress across the continent.

Attendees can look forward to mingling with industry titans, startups, business angels, and thought leaders, fostering networking prospects and garnering insights from influential figures shaping the tech landscape. The event will feature an eclectic array of talks spanning crucial themes such as digital finance, cybersecurity, and the transformative potential of AI in sectors like healthcare and agriculture.

A standout feature of GITEX Africa 2024 lies in the fact that participants will have access  to global tech enterprises, startups and proactive investors from diverse corners of the globe. This facilitates a firsthand glimpse of revolutionary tech solutions and serves as a springboard for collaboration and investment opportunities.

Attendees also have the opportunity to participate in conferences such as the GITEX Africa Digital Summit, and other notable forums including “AI Everything,”  the “Future Of Finance Summit,” “GITEX Impact,” “Africa World Future,” and “Health Africa.”  Participants can also attend  a cybersecurity forum, an executive forum, and national briefings of participating countries.

The GITEX Africa Digital Summit stands as a guiding light for Africa’s digital transformation odyssey, bringing together innovators, policymakers, and thought leaders. Discussions will revolve around vital themes like governance for data-driven development, policy innovation, and bridging the connectivity gap, which are all propelled  by the imperative of a unified digital market in Africa.

Another exciting event, the Africa Supernova Challenge takes center stage as the continent’s foremost pitch competition, providing entrepreneurs with the platform to showcase groundbreaking innovations and compete  for a total cash prize of $100,000.

This competition presents a significant opportunity for startups to enhance visibility, attract investors and network with industry leaders. Past participants have attested to the positive experiences and profound impact of the challenge on their businesses, citing networking opportunities and valuable insights gained from the event.

Building upon the resounding success of last year’s event, which drew over 35,000 participants and 900 exhibitors from 128 countries, GITEX Africa 2024 is poised to make an even greater impact. European startups, in particular, stand to reap the benefits of tapping into Africa’s burgeoning enthusiasm for digital advancement, rendering this event an unmissable opportunity.

Workshops and conferences  will delve into pressing topics shaping Africa’s digital future, encompassing spectrum management, eGovernment, digital identity, and more. Distinguished attendees, including ministers and industry leaders from across the continent, will contribute their expertise to discussions, propelling digital transformation and innovation forward.

As momentum continues to mount in the wake of GITEX Africa’s inaugural success, the stage is set for another innovative gathering, where aspiring entrepreneurs, tech enthusiasts and changemakers can converge to explore new technologies and cultivate enduring connections within the dynamic realm of African technologies.
