Rabat- Lalla Latifa, the mother of King Mohammed VI, died earlier today at the age of 78, prompting an outpouring of condolences from Moroccan public figures. 

 

Politicians and prominent personalities from across the nation have come forward to express their heartfelt sympathies and solidarity with the royal family during this time of mourning.

 

Many of the sympathizing Moroccan public figures used their social media accounts to extend their condolences to King Mohammed VI and the royal family. 

 

Raja AC, Wydad AC, and several other Moroccan clubs also expressed profound sorrow over Lalla Latifa’s passing, speaking on behalf of all their staff members and supporters. They conveyed heartfelt wishes for comfort and strength to the royal family during this difficult time.

 

Atlas Lions head coach Walid Regragui and leading Moroccan footballers Youssef En-Nesyri, Azzedine Ounahi, and others expressed their condolences through their Instagram stories, sharing messages of sympathy and solidarity.

 

Singer Latifa Raafat, Omar Belmire, and other stars also conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the King, invoking Allah’s mercy during this time of sorrow. 

 

Their messages reflected profound respect and empathy for the loss of the royal family, resonating deeply with many across Morocco.

 

In addition, social media figures such as Amine Aouni, Zoubir Hilal, and others joined in expressing their condolences to the aggrieved royal family.

 

Lalla Latifa Amahzoune, the widow of King Hassan II and mother of the reigning King Mohammed VI passed away on Saturday at the age of 78. 

 

Affectionately known as the Mother of the Royal Children, Lalla Latifa played a significant, albeit private, role in the Moroccan royal family.
