Rabat – The highly anticipated Euro 2024 tournament will kick off tomorrow at 8 p.m Moroccan time with Germany, the tournament host and one of the favorites to lift the trophy, taking on Scotland, a resilient underdog that will be looking to defy the odds.
With Germany having been out of shape and ideas since its World Cup triumph in 2014, fans of the German team will likely be hoping for a statement win for tomorrow’s kickoff at the Munich Football Arena.
The continental competition will be kicking off with six groups, including:
Group A — The host country Germany alongside Scotland, Hungary, and Switzerland.
Group B includes Spain, Croatia, Italy, and Albania,
Slovenia, Denmark, Serbia, and England are in Group C, while Poland, Netherlands, Austria, and France are in Group D.
Group E includes Belgium, Slovakia, Romania, Ukraine, and Group F has Turkiye, Georgia, Portugal, and Czech Republic.
Teams drawn in the same group will play against each other in the group stage, with the top two squads in each group advancing to the round of 16 along with three of the best third-place teams.
While an impressive Italy side won the previous Euro tournament, beating a star-studded England to lift the trophy, many expect England, France, or Germany to win this year.
But as every international tournament has its share of upsets and surprises, it remains to be seen which of the underdogs or outsiders will shake up Europe’s footballing order in the coming weeks.
