Rabat – The Euro 2024 competition is drawing to an end, and the Round of 16 is ongoing in decisive mode.
Today’s fixtures feature Spain versus Georgia, while England is facing off against Slovakia tonight.
The match between England and Slovakia will take place at 5 p.m. Moroccan time.
Several online streaming websites as well as television channels will air the match.
ITV1 and ITVX will cover the game in addition to FOX Sports.
England coach Gareth Southgate is determined to have his team more aggressive to create more chances and advance in the ongoing tournament.
“You have to get through that first phase, and now you’re into the world of – it has to happen on the day,” he said in a pre-match conference.
He stressed that his team is expecting to face challenges in today’s match, noting that Slovakia “press high, they’re aggressive in their defending, and you’ve got to find a way of breaking through that press, so it’s going to be the toughest possible test.”
The UEFA website predicts Slovakia to bring surprises after beating Belgium.
The team already achieved its primary goal by reaching the round of 16 stage.
“But their appetite is growing and, after beating Belgium, they are daring to dream of upsetting England,” UEFA quoted expert Rastislav Hirbik as saying.
“Slovakia has nothing to lose against one of the favourites for Euro 2024. However, this in no way means that Calzona’s men don’t believe in themselves before the match,”the expert added.
