Throne Day: King Mohammed VI Chairs Reception in M’diq

King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid, presided over a reception ceremony Tuesday afternoon in the city of M’diq, commemorating the 25th anniversary of his accession to the throne.

Throne Day: King Mohammed VI Chairs Reception in M’diq

Rabat – King Mohammed VI, accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid, presided over a reception ceremony Tuesday afternoon in the city of M’diq, commemorating the 25th anniversary of his accession to the throne.

The event kicked off with the national anthem and a 21-gun salute in honor of the King. 

This ceremony was attended by numerous distinguished Moroccan and international personalities, all of whom offered their congratulations and best wishes to King Mohammed VI on the occasion of Throne Day.

Prominent figures in attendance included Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, House of Representatives Speaker Rachid Talbi Alami, House of Councilors President Enaam Mayara. 

High-ranking judicial officials such as Mohamed Abdennabaoui, President of the Supreme Judicial Council, and El Hassan Daki, Attorney General of the King at the Court of Cassation, were also present.

In addition, dignitaries included the President of the Constitutional Court Mohamed Amine Benabdellah, First President of the Court of Auditors Zineb El Adaoui, and President of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council Ahmed Réda Chami.

Leaders from various educational and human rights institutions, including Habib El Malki and Amina Bouayach, also extended their regards.

Representatives from Morocco’s security and military authorities paid tribute to the King, including Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces General Mohamed Berrid, Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie General Mohamed Haramou, and other top military officials. 

Special recognition was given to General of the Army Corps Abdelfettah Louarak and Division General Mimoun El Mansouri, who were both decorated by the King for their service to the nation.

The diplomatic community was well represented, with ambassadors from Cameroon, Bahrain, Malta, Argentina, and Australia extending their greetings. 

Religious leaders from diverse faiths, including Archbishop Emilio Rocha Grande of Tangier, Pastor Ngole Kisuku Kasongo, Archbishop Maxim Massalitin of the Russian Orthodox Church, and Chief Rabbi Yossef Israel of Casablanca, also honored the occasion.
