Fez – The Faculty of Dental Medicine at the Private University of Fez opened today its doors for a landmark event for dental education and practice in Morocco: the Digital Dentistry Open Day.
This initiative aims to showcase cutting-edge advancements and their practical implications in the field of dentistry in the North African country.
The day began with a cordial reception at 11 a.m., welcoming participants in the main hall, followed by an informative guided tour of the university campus.
Demonstrations of state-of-the-art equipment and digital technologies highlighted the morning session, illustrating their transformative role in modern dental practices.
By 12:30 p.m., the program shifted gears with cultural and sports activities incorporating the latest technologies, providing attendees with hands-on experiences.
This dynamic atmosphere set the stage for deeper exploration into the day’s central theme.
The highlight of the day, scheduled for 3 p.m., is the eagerly anticipated conference titled “The Digital Revolution in Dentistry: Interests and Practical Implications.”

Distinguished speakers, including Professor Rachida Amezian, Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine at Fez Private University, will delve into crucial topics such as advancements in digital learning and the integration of digital dentistry into contemporary clinical practices.
Also contributing to the discussion is esteemed expert Professor Jaafar Mouhyi, former President of the Digital Dentistry Society, who will elaborate on the transformation of digital dentistry from a specialized field to a vital element of modern dental healthcare.
In the afternoon session, Professor Fernando Zarone, Chair of Prosthodontics at the University of Naples Federico II, will explore game-changing innovations in prosthodontics.
The conference will conclude with an interactive Q&A session, providing a platform for participants to engage directly with the speakers.
A pivotal moment is scheduled for 5:45 p.m. as the University of Naples and Fez Private University officially sign a partnership agreement, cementing international collaboration to advance dental education and research.
Established in 2006, the Private University of Fez achieved state recognition in May 2018, becoming the first private university in Fez to do so.
It now confers degrees that are automatically equivalent to those awarded by the state.
The university comprises four distinct faculties: the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, Fez Business School, the Institute of Advanced Legal and Social Studies, and the School of Architecture and Building Sciences.
In its statement announcing today’s event, the university promised not only to explore the forefront of digital dentistry but also to forge new paths in global dental innovation.
