Marrakech – Get ready, fans of the iconic French cartoon, because “Totally Spies” is making a grand return.

Production company Banijay announced yesterday that the beloved French cartoon “Totally Spies” is being adapted into an American live-action series for Amazon Prime Video.

According to François Riahi, CEO of Banijay Group, this live-action version is expected to be available by late 2025.

The series will be filmed in the United States and will feature American comedian Will Ferrell as the executive producer.

A phenomenon of the 2000s, the cartoon features heroines Sam, Clover, and Alex, teenage girls who lead double lives as spies dressed in their iconic green, red, and yellow suits.

This French cartoon aired in 2001 for six seasons, achieving worldwide success.

It recently made a comeback with a seventh season, eleven years after the last one.

To bring the live-action series to life, Banijay has partnered with the American giant Amazon MGM Studios.

“This is undoubtedly the most significant deal ever signed in our kids’ division. It presents a unique opportunity to increase the value and reach of ‘Totally Spies,’” commented Riahi.

Many Gen Z kids in Morocco grew up watching “Totally Spies” on MBC3, making the animated series a cherished part of their childhood.

Sam, Clover, and Alex were not just characters; they were iconic figures who inspired adventure and friendship.

With these fans having grown up, the news of a live-action adaptation on Amazon Prime Video is sure to ignite a wave of excitement.

With the series set to premiere by late 2025, Moroccan fans can look forward to reliving their favorite spy adventures in an entirely new way.
