Rabat – Spanish airline Air Nostrum will launch direct flights connecting Murcia, Spain and multiple cities in Morocco.

According to Aviaci Online, the new direct flights are in line with a partnership between Air Nostrum and tour operator Soltour.

The operator reportedly scheduled departures to voice with holiday dates such as Carnival and Labor day.

“With this operation, Soltour expands its vacation offerings to provide clients with a unique travel experience,” the source said, noting that the first circuit offers the chance to visit Moroccan destinations like Fez, Casablanca, Rabat, Meknes, and Marrakech.

As for the second circuit, the source added, travelers will have access to more adventurous trips to explore Merzouga and Tinghir.

Aviaci Online said the available airports include departures from many Spanish hubs, including Santiago de Compostela, Asturias, Bilbazo, Zaragoza, Valencia, Seville, La Rioja, Murcia, Valladolid, Palma de Mallorca, Malana, and Badjoz, among others.

The flights cover some of the most appealing destinations in Morocco, including Fez and Marrakech.

The announced partnership also serves Morocco’s interests, as the North African country aims to attract more tourism revenues and tourist arrivals.

Specifically, this year, Morocco aims to attract more than 15 million tourist arrivals.

Latest data from the Moroccan Tourism Observatory shared positive indicators, noting that overnight stays in classified tourist accommodation in the country exceeded 15.35 million in the first seven months this year.

This number represents an 8% increase from the previous year.
