Heavy rains hit the city of Ouarzazate on Friday, leading to the collapse of houses in some neighborhoods across the region, according to reports.
The flash floods submerged streets and alleys, turning many into water ponds and causing traffic to come to a halt for over two hours on several roadways, converging reports added.
According to Moroccan television channel 2M, local authorities intervened and worked on evacuating a number of homes that were flooded in the city of Ouarzazate.
Earlier today, a weather alert said that heavy thunderstorms will reach between 80 to 150 millimeters in some provinces.
