In 2018, Benyahia was appointed by former minister of Sports Rachid Talbi Alami as Director of the Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works for Employees and Assistants at the ministry.

Other new entrants to the Akhannouch government include  Saad Berrada, who will replace Chakib Benmoussa as the new Minister of Education; Amine Tahraoui, who will replace Khalid Ait Taleb as Minister of Health; Ahmed Bouari, who will replace Mohamed Sadiki as Minister of Agriculture; Azzedine El Midaoui as Minister of Higher Education; Abdessamad Kayouh will take on the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, while Naima Ben Yahia will replace Aawatif Hayar as Minister of Solidarity and Family.

Many ministers have maintained their positions, including Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita, Minister of Interior Abdelouafi Laftit, and others.
