Rabat – The management of the Royal Armed Forces Sports Association (AS FAR) has expressed its discontent with the refereeing decisions during their match against Raja Casablanca in the seventh round of the Botola Pro D1 Inwi.
In an official statement, the club said, “The management of the Royal Armed Forces Sports Association strongly disapproves of the poor level of refereeing in our match against Raja, a situation that reflects the challenges faced by the club throughout last season and the start of the current one.”
The statement highlighted what it described as “incomprehensible and incorrect” decisions made by the officials, particularly criticizing the awarding of a controversial penalty in the last breath of the game, which they argue compromised the principles of fairness and sporting integrity.
The club has called on relevant authorities to launch an investigation into the refereeing of the match. “The Royal Armed Forces Sports Association, committed to sportsmanship and honorable competition, urges all stakeholders to take responsibility in developing the national football system,” the statement added.
The match, held on Tuesday evening at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium in Casablanca, ended in a 0-0 draw, with Raja’s Houssine Rahimi missing a penalty in the final seconds of the game.
