The University of Sheffield’s School of Computer Science has announced that Moroccan Ider Moutia has been awarded the Computer Science Excellence Scholarship for maintaining outstanding academic performance during the 2023-2024 academic session.

Moutia joined the prestigious university in 2023 after completing his preparatory and secondary education at the London Academy in Casablanca.

Recognized as a programming prodigy and a young genius, he has represented Morocco in several high-profile events, including the VEX Robotics World Championships in the United States.

Notably, he was the youngest speaker at a Google event in 2018, showcasing his remarkable talent and passion for technology.

Motti completed his primary education up to the first year of middle school at the Rowad Nahda School in Tiznit, a small Moroccan town.

He joined the London Academy Casablanca after receiving a scholarship, with the school fully covering his studies and living fees until the end of his secondary education.

The Prodigy completed his A-level at the age of 16, which is two years younger than the age for this milestone.

In addition to Sheffield University, he received offers from other top schools in England, including the University of Liverpool, Newcastle University,  and the Royal Holloway University of London.

In a previous interview with RT, Motii credited his brother’s unfailing support and exemplary influence for his success.

”My brother’s influence was very important; he got me into this field. I thank him so much,” he said.
