Rabat – Morocco’s capital Rabat has been selected to host the 2025 Annual Congress of the Dutch Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (ANVR).
The announcement was made during the closing ceremony of this year’s event, said the Moroccan National Tourism Office (ONMT), noting that the decision aligns with Morocco’s ambitious goal of attracting 26 million tourists by 2030. The Netherlands is a key contributor to this strategy, with Moroccan arrivals from the Dutch market increasing by an impressive 23% in 2024, added the statement.
In a bid to further enhance ties with Dutch and Belgian tourism professionals, the ONMT is organizing a roadshow from November 18 to 21 across key markets in the Benelux region.
The event will bring together 19 Moroccan tourism operators to highlight the country’s rich and diverse offerings while fostering collaboration with European counterparts.

The office highlighted Rabat’s blend of historical charm and modern dynamism, saying the city is well-positioned to provide an exceptional setting for the 2025 ANVR Congress.
The statement further highlighted Rabat’s cultural heritage, vibrant art scene, and well-developed infrastructure offer an ideal environment for such a prestigious international gathering.
In addition, the congress is set to serve as an opportunity to showcase Morocco’s commitment to sustainable tourism and its ability to host large-scale events. It will also boost Rabat’s profile as a prime destination for cultural and business tourism.
