Rabat – Bayern Munich won the German Super Cup after beating Borussia Dortmund 2-1 today at Signal Iduna Park.
The victory gave Bayern their 12th German Super Cup title. It also gave Moroccan international Ismael Saibari his first trophy with Bayern Munich.
Saibari started his Bayern journey from the bench. He came on in the 81st minute. The Moroccan replaced Nathaniel Brown, who scored Bayern’s opening goal.
Brown put Bayern ahead in the 28th minute. He finished after Dortmund failed to clear the ball.
Michael Olise doubled Bayern’s lead in the 45th minute. His goal came just before the end of the first half.
Dortmund fought back after the break. Fabio Silva scored in the 75th minute to make it 2-1.
The hosts pushed for an equalizer in the final minutes. Bayern, however, held on to secure the win.
The result gives Bayern a strong start to the 2026-27 season. For Saibari, it marks the beginning of his time at the club with a major trophy.
