Rabat – Morocco’s goalkeeper Yassine Bounou now stands among football’s greatest. His football kit is on display in Madrid’s “Legends: Home of Football” museum, alongside Diego Maradona, Pelé, and Zinedine Zidane.

The museum, located in Madrid’s Puerta del Sol, boasts over 5,000 rare items, including jerseys, footballs, and trophies. The collection displays the biggest and most memorable moments in the sport’s history.

Paola Herrera Rodriguez, the museum’s communications director, told MAP that Bounou is lauded for helping Morocco reach fourth place in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

“Bounou represents African pride, being one of Morocco’s top legends,” she says. The jersey he wore during Morocco’s historic match against Spain now hangs in the museum.

Museum visitors can also see jerseys worn by iconic players like Lev Yashin and Alfredo Di Stéfano. A highlight is Maradona’s 1986 World Cup final jersey, worth 20 million euros.

The museum was founded by Argentine collector Marcelo Ordás Peña. It includes a 4D cinema and interactive 3D tours of famous stadiums like Argentina’s La Bombonera and Spain’s Santiago Bernabéu. It’s a must-visit for fans wanting to relive football’s greatest moments.
