Rabat – Early this morning, a fire broke out on an unoccupied floor of the Atlas Tower in Casablanca, triggering an immediate response from emergency services.
According to an official statement from the Moroccan Insurance and Reinsurance Company (SCR), the incident occurred at approximately 7 a.m. local time, impacting a section of the building that was not in use by staff and did not contain any critical operational spaces.
The swift response of Morocco’s civil protection team brought the fire under control within a short time, effectively preventing any injuries or major damage to property.
SCR reported that no documents or equipment were lost, and the incident left essential business systems fully intact. The quick containment of the fire allowed SCR to avoid disruptions to its ongoing activities, with operations continuing as planned.
In a statement following the incident, SCR reassured its employees, clients, and partners that it has taken all necessary safety measures to ensure a secure environment.
The company confirmed that it is fully prepared to resume on-site activities without delay and that contingency plans are in place to ensure seamless operations.
