Rabat — The Moroccan futsal team is ready for action. Coach Hicham Dguig has named 18 players for two friendly matches against the 87th-ranked Latvia. The games will take place on December 13 and 15 at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora.
Morocco’s Football Federation (FRMF) says that the team will be in camp at the same complex from December 9 to 18.

The 7th-ranked team has impressed in recent years. They won the African Futsal Cup of Nations twice, and also reached the quarter-finals of the Futsal World Cup in 2021 in Lithuania, only to lose 1-0 to Brazil.
Last September, Seleção returned to knock off Morocco again in the quarterfinals 3-1 during the Futsal World Cup Uzbekistan.
Meanwhile, the Atlas Lions have also become a powerhouse in the Arab region after they have clinched the Arab Futsal Cup three times in a row.
Coach Dguig has been at the helm for eleven years, moulding the squad into a strong title contender in every competition they enter.
