After a five-year hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has officially resumed direct flights between Casablanca and São Paulo, restoring a vital connection between Morocco and Brazil. The relaunch, first announced in June, took place yesterday.

The inaugural flight, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, landed at São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport on Saturday evening to a warm reception from local officials and Brazilian tourism professionals.

The aircraft was greeted with a traditional water salute, marking the return of this crucial air route in response to growing demand for travel and business links between Morocco and Brazil.

The strategic air link will operate three times a week, with flights departing Casablanca on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 4:45 p.m., and arriving in São Paulo at 10:20 p.m. local time.

Return flights will leave São Paulo at 12:25 a.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, arriving in Casablanca at 1:15 p.m.. The service will be operated by RAM’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners, offering passengers modern amenities, enhanced comfort, and a reduced environmental footprint.

The resumption of the route not only boosts tourism but also aligns with Morocco’s preparations to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, alongside Spain and Portugal.

Brazilian football fans, in particular, will find this direct link convenient for traveling to the tournament’s host cities.

As RAM welcomes passengers back to this vital route, the airline is set to play a key role in strengthening both tourism and the broader economic and cultural ties between Morocco and Brazil.
