Fez – Accor has reinforced its commitment to Morocco’s hospitality sector with the appointment of Mehdi Morad as Head of Operations for Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery, and Emblems.

This strategic move aligns with the group’s renewed vision to elevate Morocco as a premier international destination by enhancing operational excellence and guest experiences.

With a career spanning over two decades in the hospitality industry, Mehdi Morad brings extensive expertise in strategic management and hotel operations.

He has been with Accor since 2019, serving as Vice President of Operations for Africa, Mauritius, Reunion, and the Seychelles.

His new role expands his leadership to Morocco, where he will oversee Accor’s luxury and lifestyle brands, ensuring their continued growth and alignment with the company’s global standards.

Morad’s appointment comes as part of Accor’s broader restructuring in Morocco, which aims to optimize operational performance and tailor services to the local market.

By dividing its operations into two main segments, “Premium, Midscale & Economy” and “Luxury & Lifestyle”, the group seeks to enhance efficiency and brand positioning.

Under Morad’s leadership, Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery, and Emblems will benefit from a refined strategy designed to strengthen their market presence and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Throughout his career, Morad has demonstrated a deep understanding of the evolving dynamics of the hospitality sector.

His ability to navigate complex markets and implement growth strategies has positioned him as a key figure within Accor’s leadership.

In his previous role, he successfully managed operations across diverse regions, fostering innovation and operational excellence.

Accor’s luxury brands in Morocco have played a significant role in shaping the country’s hospitality landscape, and Morad’s leadership is expected to further this impact.

His experience in managing high-end properties and driving performance makes him well-equipped to lead the expansion of Accor’s luxury portfolio in the country.

Operating from Accor’s newly consolidated headquarters in Casablanca, Morad will work closely with teams to enhance collaboration, streamline operations, and support the group’s ambitious growth plans.

With Morocco’s tourism sector poised for continued expansion, his role will be instrumental in ensuring Accor remains at the forefront of the industry.

As Accor continues to invest in Morocco’s hospitality market, Mehdi Morad’s leadership marks a pivotal step in the group’s long-term strategy.

His expertise and vision will be crucial in elevating the luxury hospitality experience, reinforcing Morocco’s position as a key destination within Accor’s global network.
