Rabat – Morocco’s National Motorway Company (ADM) has urged drivers to be extra cautious on some main highways as the country braces for severe weather.
The North African country is going through alarming snowfall heights above 1,400 meters, heavy thunderstorms, and strong winds from Wednesday to Friday.
Some of the flagged highways and major routes are Rabat-Fez-Oujda, Berrechid-Beni Mellal, Larache-Tanger-Tanger Med, and Tetouan-Fnideq.
ADM advised to check road conditions before planning to go somewhere.
Another concern is that school holidays are reaching their end, which might be the reason for a major traffic influx over the weekend under these strenuous weather conditions.
Yesterday, Morocco’s weather office forecasted thunderstorms, snowfall, and strong winds to hit several provinces across several provinces until Friday.
All of the recent orange weather advisories prompt individuals to exercise greater caution and attention in order to avoid potentially dangerous circumstances.
