Rabat – Morocco is set to participate in three culinary competitions, including the global finals of the Bocuse d’Or, the World Pastry Cup, and the World Caterers Cup.
The competitions will take place at the Sirha Salon in Lyon from January 23-27.
Three other African countries will join the face-offs as part of a selection organized in Marrakech by the Rahal Group.
Bocuse d’Or
For the Bocuse d’Or final, Chef Yassine Bogdad will represent Morocco, and the North African country’s delegation will also include his commis Youssef Lamghani and coach Ahmed Bem Semlali.
Twenty-four countries will compete in these finals after they were selected in continent competitions, of which include the Bocuse d’Or Africa that took place in September last year.

Morocco’s pastry team will also include Omar Eddib, a specialist in sweet creations, as well as Mohamed El Yazidi and Mohamed Lamraoui, who specialize in ice sculptures.
Moroccan news agency MAP said the Moroccan team promises to create exceptional works combining tradition and innovation, including artistic pieces in sugar chocolate and ice.

World Caterers Cup
As for the World Caterers Cup, the Moroccan team includes Mohamed Fadil Ouahhabi, Lahoucine Zaoui, and Lahcen Idoakrim.
The three will participate in the competition on January 23, with the aim to proudly show off the country’s cuisine and hospitality.

The competition features 2 teams from five continents, with each team composed of chefs and master butchers.
