Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur announced on Thursday that it has renewed its contract with Moroccan international football player Yusuf Akhamrich until 2028.
The club commended the football player’s potential, recalling that he has been a “regular” for its Under 21 squad this season.
The Moroccan international plays on the left wing and left back, the club said, recalling his outstanding hat-trick against Middelsbroug in December.
The club said that the hat-trick led him to “being shortlisted for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month” award in November.
The Moroccan player represented Morocco at under-20 level at the international stage.
The London-born went to Morpeth School in Bethnal Green, contributing to 25 goals for t Tottenham’s under-16s in the 2021-2022 season.
At the Premier League 2, Akhamrich made 10 appearances and scored four goals this season, offering one assist.
He played 43 matches with Spurs U18, scoring nine goals and providing five assists. He has meanwhile made 18 appearances with Tottenham U21, bagging four goals and providing two assists.
The Moroccan international has participated in different competitions, including U18 Premier League, where he appeared 39 times and scored eight goals.
In the Premier League 2, he appeared in 12 matches and scored four goals, while he has made four appearances and scored one goal in the FA Youth Cup.
