Marrakech – Muslims in the United States are set to observe Eid al-Fitr 2025 on Monday, March 31, according to Sadagaat-usa website.
With over 3 million Muslims residing in the United States, Eid al-Fitr is one of the most significant celebrations of the year.
Muslim communities across the country celebrate Eid by dressing in their finest attire, gathering for communal prayers, exchanging hugs, sharing festive meals, and greeting each other with “Eid Mubarak” (Happy Eid).
The Muslim community in the USA is the largest in North America, making Islam the country’s third-largest religion.
According to the website, Islam has been intertwined with American culture since the 19th century, largely due to the slave trade during the antebellum period.
Historians estimate that up to one in three slaves brought to North America were Muslim, as per the same source.
