Rabat – With just minutes to go before the much-anticipated U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final, Morocco’s national team is preparing to face Mali in what promises to be a thrilling showdown at El Bachir Stadium in Mohammedia on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
In a show of strong support, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, visited the young Lions on Friday, April 18, encouraging them to enter the final with confidence, determination, and a fighting spirit.
During his visit, Lekjaa called on the players to trust in their abilities and to give their all in this “historic” moment for Moroccan football. He also assured them of the full backing of Moroccan supporters, who he said are eagerly anticipating a victorious outcome.
“The players have all the tools to win this final,” Lekjaa stated, reaffirming his “unconditional” support for the team. His visit reflects the FRMF’s continued commitment to backing national squads across all levels.
The U17 squad wrapped up its final training session on Friday in preparation for the decisive match. Head coach Nabil Baha used the session to apply tactical adjustments and fine-tune the team’s strategy ahead of the clash.
According to the FRMF, the training allowed the staff to make last-minute refinements and ensure the team is ready to compete at the highest level. Lekjaa’s presence at the session served as a final motivational boost for the players.
