Brahim Díaz isn’t going anywhere. Despite Real Madrid signing 17-year-old Argentine wonderkid Franco Mastantuono, new manager Xabi Alonso has told Díaz directly that he’s part of his plans and will have an important role this season.
Mastantuono is already making a name for himself back home, especially after scoring in the Superclásico against Boca Juniors. He’s quick, confident, and can play both on the wing and in central areas.
But his arrival raised a few eyebrows about what it might mean for Díaz. Would the Moroccan be pushed out?

Alonso has made it clear that Díaz is staying. He personally told the Atlas Lion he’s trusted, valued, and will get his chances this season. Real were also thinking about signing Lyon’s Rayan Cherki, but Alonso shut that idea down because he prefers Díaz’s style and attitude.
That hasn’t shut interest from other clubs. Bayer Leverkusen are reportedly eyeing Díaz as a possible replacement for Florian Wirtz, who has moved to Liverpool. Madrid haven’t received a formal offer yet, but it could come.
Still, Díaz is focused on Madrid. He’s already shown he can fight for a place and impress when given the chance. And with Alonso backing him and Madrid continuing to mix youth with experience, it looks like he’ll have a real shot this season.
