Moroccan midfielder Azzedine Ounahi looks set to leave Marseille this summer after being left out of Roberto De Zerbi’s first-team plans.
The 24-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Panathinaikos, is among six players excluded from first-team plans as the Ligue 1 side reshapes its squad for the 2025–26 campaign.
Ounahi impressed in Greece with five goals and seven assists, and Panathinaikos are keen to re-sign him. They’ve increased their offer to €9m, but Marseille are holding out for €12m.
Russian side Spartak Moscow had reportedly matched that asking price and offered a generous salary, but Ounahi turned it down, citing concerns over the conflict in Ukraine and Russia’s ban from European competitions.
The Moroccan international, who joined Marseille in January 2023 after a standout World Cup, is under contract until 2027. However, with no role in De Zerbi’s plans, a summer move appears likely.
Others training with the reserves include Rubén Blanco, Ismaël Koné, Simon Ngapandouetnbu, Bamo Meïté and François Mughe. The club is expected to facilitate exits for all six players during the current transfer window.
