Rabat – US President Donald Trump has finally acknowledged the situation in Gaza as tragic amid Washington’s ongoing support for Israel and its occupation forces since October 7, 2023.
The American president made his remarks during a visit to Scotland, where he is meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
“I told Israel, I told Bibi [Benjamin Netanyahu] that you’re going to now maybe have to do it a different way… It’s a tragic situation, frankly,” he said.
In response to the starvation war launched by the IOF against civilians in Gaza, Trump stressed that people in the region need food and safety “right now.”
According to the Palestinian news agency, at least 10 more people have died from hunger in the past 24 hours. Over the last three days alone, more than 25 children have also succumbed, bringing the forced starvation death toll to at least 143 people.
The news agency said an estimated 900,000 children are suffering from hunger. About 70,000 of them have entered critical stages of malnutrition.
In addition to famine, the IOF continues to claim people’s lives. Since early morning hours, the IOF has killed at least 41 Palestinians. The number includes nine aid seekers.
The death toll of the Israeli genocidal war has reached at least 59,821 since October 2023. Many victims’ bodies remain trapped under the rubble, and over 141,851 are injured due to merciless Israeli assaults across Gaza.
