Yassine Bounou Nominated for World’s Best Goalkeeper Award

Morocco international Yassine Bounou has been shortlisted for the 2025 Yachine Trophy, awarded annually to the best goalkeeper in the world.

Bounou, who plays for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, is one of 10 nominees announced by France Football.

The list includes Thibaut Courtois (Belgium), Emiliano Martínez (Argentina), Alisson and Ederson (Brazil), Gianluigi Donnarumma (Italy), Mike Maignan (France), David Raya (Spain), Gregor Kobel (Switzerland), and Andrei Lunev (Germany).

Bounou enjoyed an incredible season with Al Hilal. notably during the Club World Cup in the US, where he featured in the team of the tournament. He also remains a key figure for the Moroccan national team.

The Yachine Trophy winner will be announced at the Ballon d’Or ceremony on 22 September in Paris.
