Rabat — Moroccan alumni from local and global higher institutes have launched the “AMAL Hub” initiative as an intellectual platform that transcends geographical boundaries to unite Moroccan talent both within the country and across the diaspora.

The launch coincides with Morocco’s Youth Day celebrations.

Founded by students and graduates from prestigious local and global institutions including HEC Paris, Harvard University, and Morocco’s Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P), AMAL Hub provides an influential community designed to support the reforms initiated by King Mohammed VI.

Strategic mission

The platform aims to become a strategic bridge, organizing meetings, workshops, and practical initiatives designed to reimagine public policies while enhancing youth participation in decision-making circles.

AMAL Hub seeks to carry forward national aspirations while strengthening Morocco’s presence on the international stage.

Building on existing momentum

The launch builds on Morocco’s growing ecosystem of youth initiatives. The government recently rolled out the Pass Jeunes program nationwide, offering free benefits for cultural, sports, and transport services to Moroccans aged 16-30.

Additionally, Morocco’s Ministry of Youth has signed 7,000 partnership agreements with youth-focused associations to reinvigorate youth centers across the country, while the kingdom has partnered with UNESCO to launch Youth Labs empowering young researchers.

AMAL Hub also joins efforts like the Initiative des Jeunes Marocains du Monde, which encourages political awareness and engagement among Moroccan youth worldwide.

Looking forward

With youth unemployment at 36.7% among 15-24 year-olds, AMAL Hub represents a new model of engagement that leverages global networks while maintaining strong connections to national development goals.

The initiative reflects growing recognition that Morocco’s future development requires innovative approaches to mobilizing talent, particularly in an era where geographical boundaries need not limit collaboration and contribution to national progress.

The platform’s success will depend on its ability to create meaningful connections between diaspora expertise and concrete opportunities for impact within Morocco’s ongoing transformation journey.
