Olympique de Marseille have announced their 22-man squad for the Champions League, with Amine Harit the surprise omission.
The Moroccan midfielder, a regular starter in recent seasons, was not included in Roberto De Zerbi’s list submitted to UEFA. The decision has raised questions over his future at the club, with reports suggesting he could consider his options in the next transfer window.
Marseille have not given a reason for leaving Harit out, but the move has caused surprise among supporters. The 28-year-old has been one of OM’s most reliable performers since joining in 2020, contributing goals and creativity from midfield.

There was more positive news for Moroccan football, however. Young midfielder Bilal Nadir has made the squad after an impressive start to the Ligue 1 campaign, registering two assists in the opening matches. The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the club’s brightest prospects and is expected to feature more regularly this season.
Summer signing Nayef Aguerd has also been named in the squad. The Morocco international centre-back, who joined from West Ham, is set to strengthen Marseille’s defence for their European campaign.
De Zerbi’s squad includes experienced names such as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mason Greenwood and Benjamin Pavard, alongside several younger players.
