Marrakech – Buildings & Logistics Services (BLS), a subsidiary of H&S Invest Holding chaired by Moncef Belkhayat, has secured a landmark partnership with Varun Beverages Morocco, the exclusive franchisee and producer for PepsiCo brands in the country.

The strategic agreement is valued at MAD 120 million ($12 million), and it involves providing a 31,000 square meter logistics space for a fixed term of nine years.

Currently under construction in Lakhyayta, south of Casablanca, the facility will serve as a major logistics hub for Varun Beverages Morocco’s operations.

According to company statements, this represents the largest warehousing contract ever signed in Morocco’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

Salahaddine Mouaddib, CEO of Varun Beverages Morocco, explained the strategic decision behind the partnership at the signing ceremony.

“We have chosen to entrust our logistics activities to a leading national player so we can fully refocus on our core business: developing our brands,” said Mouaddib. “Pepsi, Lay’s and all the brands in our portfolio still have strong growth potential, and we need an expert partner in warehousing and transportation to support our development.”

The location of the new facility in Lakhyayta was strategically selected for its proximity to major highways and industrial centers in the middle of the country.

The warehouse will support Varun Beverages Morocco’s distribution activities for brands including Pepsi, Lay’s, and Tropicana.

Moncef Belkhayat, CEO of BLS, stressed the significance of the deal for his company’s growth strategy.

“We are delighted to see major national and multinational companies outsourcing their logistics. BLS is positioning itself today as an integrated end-to-end operator in freight forwarding, transit, transport, and warehousing,” said Belkhayat. “Providing 31,000 square meters for 9 years is a national record in FMCG.”

Belkhayat also revealed ambitious expansion plans, stating that BLS is “scaling our capabilities with an investment of MAD 2 billion ($200 million) over the next two years to support the growth of our current clients, particularly Varun Beverages Morocco.”

BLS operates as a full-service logistics provider across the entire value chain, including freight, transit, transport, warehousing, packaging, and logistics real estate services. The contract with Varun Beverages Morocco adds to the company’s portfolio of logistics services for both domestic and international clients.
