Rabat – With the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) fast approaching, CAF and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) have announced ticket sales and new initiatives to improve the experience for fans.

Tickets for AFCON 2025 in Morocco will go on sale on September 25, CAF said in a press release, adding that fans can now register online to get notifications before the sales open.

Visa cardholders will have access to an early two-day ticket sale between September 25 and 27, before tickets go on sale to the general public.

Tickets for the general public will be available from 27 September at 2 pm Moroccan time, with 30% of stadium capacity open during the first phase of sales.

The second phase will take place from 21 to 23 October, again beginning with a Visa pre-sale and then opening to the general public. The third and final phase starts on 21 November, when tickets for all remaining matches will be available.

CAF is also launching the Yalla App on 25 September to serve as the main platform for fans. It will allow ticket holders to register for a Fan ID, access stadiums and fan zones, and even apply for an E-Visa digitally.

CAf added that fans will also get real-time updates and exclusive tournament content through the app.

Royal Air Maroc, the official airline partner, is adding over 660 extra flights, increasing travel capacity by more than 50%. Special travel packages will be available to make it easier for fans across Africa to attend matches in host cities.

Morocco has invested heavily to ensure its infrastructure, including stadiums, is ready to host Africa’s biggest football events.

Meanwhile, the Atlas Lions are facing exceptionally high expectations from fans. Head Coach Walid Regragui recently said the bar is high for the national team to perform at the top level,  with many fans dreaming of Morocco lifting the AFCON trophy on home soil.
