Rabat – Air Arabia Maroc announced the expansion of its network with the launch of a new direct air route connecting Tangier and Rotterdam.
The flight, which will operate new routes between the Tangier Ibn Battouta International Airport and Rotterdam The Hague Airport, will serve the two destinations three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
The kick-off of the new flight will be on October 28.
A statement from Air Arabia said the service is “part of the strategy to strengthen air links between Morocco and Europe, in response to strong demand from Moroccan travelers living in the Netherlands, European tourists, and business operators.”
The statement also emphasized the importance of Tangier as one of the appealing tourism destinations in Morocco, citing the vibrancy of its culture, economic dynamism, and its mesmerizing old medinas.
Describing Tangier as a key crossroads between Africa and Europe, Air Arabia said the flights seek to strengthen human, economic, and tourism exchanges between Morocco and the Netherlands.
It also reiterated its commitment to offer more connections between the North African country and Europe at an affordable flying experience and convenient schedules.
“Tangier thus consolidates its strategic position within the Air Arabia network, facilitating human, cultural, and economic exchanges across the Mediterranean,” Air Arabia said.
Flight tickets between the two destinations are already available, with the company asking enthusiasts to use its channels to book their trips.
