Spanish club Real Betis announced on Saturday that Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has suffered a muscular injury in his thigh, following his participation in last Thursday’s match against Ludogorets Razgrad of Bulgaria.
In an official statement, the club explained that Amrabat is dealing with a fascial muscle injury caused by a contusion to the rectus femoris muscle, resulting from a strong collision during the match.

The statement added that Amrabat’s return to group training will depend on how his condition evolves in the coming days. No specific recovery timeline was given, meaning the medical staff will monitor him daily before making any decisions.
The Moroccan international is expected to miss Morocco’s upcoming matches against Bahrain and Congo due to this injury. National team coach Walid Regragui will look for another option to replace Amrabt in the midfield
Amrabat joined Betis this summer on loan from Fenerbahçe to strengthen their midfield. His arrival was seen as a key move to add experience and balance to the team.
