Marrakech – Dubai will host the 45th edition of GITEX GLOBAL, the world’s largest tech and AI event, from October 13-17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The landmark gathering will bring together over 6,800 tech enterprises and 2,000 startups from 180 countries.
With the global AI market poised to reach $4.8 trillion by 2033, according to UNCTAD, the race to deploy AI for critical sectors has intensified.
This year’s program focuses on biotech, physical AI, quantum computing, semiconductors, and data centers. Industry leaders, including Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, Dell, Google, IBM, Microsoft, and Huawei, will showcase innovations alongside newcomers Cerebras, Datadog, Qualcomm, and Tenstorrent.
“Future-critical sectors, including data centers, biotech, quantum, and robotics, are where AI ingenuity is converging with humanity’s most pressing challenges,” said Trixie LohMirmand, EVP of DWTC, the event organizer.
“GITEX GLOBAL 2025 gives new impetus to these transformative technologies, while continuing to be the harbinger of innovation-led progress across industries and global economies,” she added.
Running parallel is Expand North Star, GITEX’s startup showcase celebrating its 10th edition. The event connects 2,000 promising startups with over 1,200 investors managing $1.1 trillion in assets from October 12-15 at Dubai Harbour.
Global participation reaches new heights
Brazil joins as this year’s Country Partner with its largest-ever tech delegation. New pavilions will debut from Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Spain, and Türkiye.

The Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry also partners with the event. “Serbian startups demonstrate practical examples of AI applications across diverse fields,” noted Marko Čadež, the chamber’s president.
Data center investments are set to exceed $500 billion in 2025, according to BofA Research. Paul Palandjian, CEO of O’Leary Ventures, which is building the world’s largest AI data center industrial park in Canada, stated: “The UAE has become a world leader in the development of technology and AI.”
Next-generation technologies converge at GITEX
Biotech spending is approaching $1.7 trillion in 2025. Trevor Martin, CEO of Mammoth Biosciences, will present how CRISPR, their Nobel-winning gene-editing technology, uses AI to potentially cure genetic diseases.
Matt Angle, CEO of Paradromics, will discuss decoding thought with AI and neurotech. South Korean startup HurayPositive will unveil an AI-powered SaaS to deliver precision medicine for patients with chronic conditions.
The robotics AI market is projected to quadruple to $94 billion by 2031. Tensor will unveil the world’s first personal robocar, described as “agentic AI on wheels.” K2 will introduce new humanoids and a concept vehicle designed for industrial environments.
IBM will showcase Quantum System Two, a major step towards large-scale fault-tolerant quantum systems. “GITEX GLOBAL is a platform for action. It brings together the ecosystems that matter,” said Shukri Eid, VP and General Manager of IBM Gulf, Levant, and Pakistan.
Mark Thompson, Co-Founder of PsiQuantum, a $6 billion unicorn, will outline the path towards quantum sovereignty. IONQ, the world’s first public pure-play quantum computing company trading on the New York Stock Exchange, joins as a headline exhibitor.
AMD will present its Instinct™ GPUs and EPYC™ CPUs for handling demanding AI workloads and energy-efficient data centre deployments.
Jim Keller, CEO of Tenstorrent, the $2.6 billion AI chipmaker on the Forbes AI50 List, will address sovereign AI futures as semiconductors become increasingly important geopolitically.
Expand North Star features more than 40 unicorns this year. Notable participants include Cerebras, presenting the world’s largest AI supercomputer built with G42, and Fluidstack unveiling the first 1GW decarbonized AI supercomputer.
Xpanceo will introduce five prototypes of AI-powered smart contact lenses, advancing AR, healthcare, and consumer hardware simultaneously.
The 2026 edition will move to the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City, starting December 7 with a premier Summit followed by the Exhibition from December 8-11.
